Meet Doc
Husband, father, local physician, small business owner and proven defender of The Martin County Difference.
Family First
My wife Jacklyn and I have four young children who we hope will get to live in a Martin County like the one we have. Whether it’s traffic, overdevelopment or crime—we all share concerns about the direction things have been heading lately. This election is about whether our children will grow up in a place that still feels like a hometown, or just another urbanized stop heading north from Miami—where traffic, taxes, and congestion define daily life. I want my kids to grow up in a town that feels like home and know that their Dad did everything he could to protect it.

Proven Leadership
When I ran for City Commission in 2022, the platform was “No more high-density apartments.” In the last 4 years the City has gone from approving 3,000 units, down to 60—a 98% decrease. I’ve also approved ZERO land use changes in that time—because protecting commercial and industrial land where our kids can work, start a business and afford to live here is important. We restored sensible density codes, lowered the tax rate for the first time in 10 years and joined the SB180 lawsuit to defend the Martin County Difference. Promises made, promises kept.
Business Professional
Local governments need less bureaucrats and more small business owners. As an owner and operator of a specialty practice in Downtown Stuart, I’ve been blessed to serve our residents for the last 15 years. Government is a business and it should be run like one. That means cutting spending and passing the savings back to you. Local governments also need less career politicians and more public servants. It’s important that those seeking office, not have serious professional conflicts of interest. As a Martin County Commissioner, I’ll contribute a no-nonsense, get it done approach that prioritizes customer service.
Environmental Focus
Most candidates running for office use “clean water” as a talking point but rarely take action. In my four years as your Stuart City Commissioner and Mayor, we got it done. The lost summers of 2016 and 2018 created a community desire to hire an Environmental Attorney. In 2024, we finally made that a reality—while also cutting overall spending and lowering the tax rate. A clean natural environment is truly a non-partisan issue. Our health, businesses and property values are all tied to the health of the St. Lucie River. For my active family, it’s not just about looking at clean water—it’s where we swim, surf and spend time with the people we care about. Your kids deserve clean water to play in and if you hire me, I will continue to make that a reality.
